Privacy policy

Crusader Empire Enterprises, a business owned by Aaron Bouchard (“we”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Account data (online tools): your email address and a securely hashed password. We never see or store your password itself.
- Billing data: payments are processed by Stripe (subscriptions) and Gumroad (digital products). We receive your email, plan and payment status, but never your full card number.
- Tool inputs: numbers you enter into a calculator are processed to produce your result and are not saved to your account. We keep anonymous daily usage counts (e.g. “42 calculations today”).
- Technical data: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, time, browser) for security for up to 30 days.
- Free export limit: to stop the free export allowance being farmed, we store a one-way keyed hash of the IP address you signed up and exported from (not the address itself) with your account and monthly export counts.
- Email and contact form: messages you send us (by email or through the contact form), so we can answer them.
- Sentinel chat: if you use the “Ask Sentinel” chat, we keep the text of your questions (with email addresses removed), a random conversation number and which page answered it, for up to 30 days, to answer you and improve answers. We do not store your IP address with chats and the chat sets no cookies. To answer some questions, your question and excerpts of our own web pages are sent to Google’s Gemini AI service; please don’t type personal or payment details into the chat. If you choose to create a support ticket from the chat, your messages and the email you give (optional) go to our support queue so a person can reply. Sentinel is an automated assistant, not tax, legal or financial advice.
- Site statistics: we count page views, tool uses and clicks to our Gumroad store from our own server logs. We store only daily totals, never IP addresses, and use no cookies or third-party scripts for this.
Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.
How we use it
To provide and secure the service, manage subscriptions, answer support requests and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information and do not send marketing email without your consent.
Who we share it with
Only service providers needed to run the business: Stripe (payments), Gumroad (digital product checkout and delivery), Google Cloud (hosting, United States) and Google’s Gemini API (answering some Sentinel chat questions). They may process data outside Canada under their own privacy commitments.
Retention and your rights
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to close it, except records we must keep for tax purposes (generally 6 years in Canada). You may ask to access, correct or delete your information by emailing crusaderempireentreprises@gmail.com.
